Overview
NDev is hiring a Data Scientist in London to help uncover, model, and monetise insights from large-scale, high-value datasets. This role sits within a commercially focused analytics environment, where data science directly influences product strategy, customer engagement, and business performance.
As a Data Scientist, you’ll work on end-to-end machine learning solutions—taking ideas from experimentation through to production—while collaborating closely with data engineers, analysts, and senior stakeholders. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong technical depth with commercial thinking and enjoys seeing their work drive real-world outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Machine Learning & Modelling
- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models from ideation to production
- Develop customer-focused models, including lifetime value, engagement, and retention models
- Monitor model performance and iterate to ensure long-term business impact
Data Analysis & Insight
- Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Translate analytical findings into clear, commercially relevant insights
- Deliver data-driven recommendations that influence decision-making
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and cross-functional teams
- Ensure analytical solutions align with commercial and strategic objectives
- Clearly communicate methodologies, assumptions, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences
Data Preparation & Experimentation
- Prepare and process structured and unstructured data for analytics and modelling
- Research and test new techniques, tools, and methodologies from the wider data science community
- Apply best practices in experimentation, validation, and reproducibility
Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
- Proven applied data science experience in commercial, CRM, or product-led environments
- Strong track record delivering end-to-end data science solutions into production
- Experience developing customer or lifetime value models
Technical Skills
- Python for data analysis, prototyping, and model development
- SQL, including advanced queries, window functions, and complex aggregations
- PySpark for scalable, distributed data processing
- Version control using Git, with a focus on clean, reproducible code
Ways of Working
- Pragmatic, detail-oriented approach with a strong bias toward business value
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving requirements
- Strong commercial awareness and interest in how models impact key metrics
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team
Desired / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience working in cloud environments such as GCP or AWS
- Familiarity with tools like Airflow, Docker, and containerised deployments
- Interest or experience in data-heavy, regulated, or high-scale consumer industries
