We’re hiring a Frontend Web Developer in London to work across a variety of WordPress and Laravel projects. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys turning concepts into polished, user-friendly experiences, solving technical challenges, and continuously improving their craft in a collaborative, hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

  • Develop and maintain websites from initial concept through to deployment
  • Build clean, responsive, and accessible frontend interfaces
  • Implement designs accurately using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

CMS & Platform Development

  • Work on WordPress and Laravel projects, including custom themes and functionality
  • Support eCommerce implementations using platforms such as WooCommerce, Shopify, or Magento

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and project managers
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a high technical and visual standard
  • Contribute ideas and improvements to development workflows and processes

Code Quality & Best Practices

  • Write well-structured, maintainable, and version-controlled code
  • Follow modern frontend best practices, performance optimisation, and responsive design principles
  • Stay up to date with emerging tools, frameworks, and industry standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in frontend web development
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • HTML5
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • PHP (primarily WordPress and Laravel)
    • Git version control and workflows
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and modern frontend practices
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms such as WooCommerce, Shopify, or Magento

Desired / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with modern tooling and frameworks such as Node.js / NPM, React, SASS, Vite or Webpack
  • Familiarity with Twig or Blade templating engines
  • Experience using SSH and SFTP
  • jQuery experience
  • Ability to write functional or technical specifications
  • Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar repositories
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
